We live in very rural area of Iowa. While I did not grow up on a farm, my grandparents lived on the farm and we spent many days out there butchering chickens, feeding the cats and the pigs, walking out to the pasture to bring the cows home to milk them. ...and using the outhouse !! The windmill was a very important part of the farm as it pumped the water to the barn for the livestock and to the house for our water....livestock always came first... It was their living. So many nights there was little or no water at supper time as the cattle were drinking.
This card was made on paper cardstock. I used my circuit machine to cut out the windmill. I Layed that on the card 1st. Then used a stamp from Northwoods to stamp on a dark green paper.
I tried to keep it clean and simple.
