2 heart gems

.
For this weeks challenge all about love, love is in the air, valentines etc. I chose to do a little bit different card for me. I started with brown card stock. I cut out 2 nontraditional heart shapes  from white colored card stock that are  actually the cut outs from another card that I did in a similar Fashion, just opposite and then went over them lightly with my brown ink pad to put just a little bit of a rustic touch on it. I stamped in light brown and then went over the stamping area with my glitter gel pen. I took my dark brown fine tip marker and created the stitching affect around both parts. I stamp happy Valentine's Day in brown ink on tan card stock . I had a red and pink floral card stock that I thought would be a pretty background and I took one of my edging punches and made a lacy  effect at the bottom and then put gemstones in between each center.

    1. I'm probably partial to ribbon just because it's easier to work with on cards, but I really like the lacy look this gave on this particular card.
