Teal wedding

For this challenge I made a card for an upcoming wedding and these were the chosen colors. I started with black cardstock, folding it in thirds to the size of the envelope. I embossed a white fancy paper in a flowery design with my cuddle bug and then cut out a wedding dress. I decorated it with tiny teal buttons and a white ribbon at the waist. I cut a white V and 2 smaller scraps of black to create the tux lapels. I used the same tiny pearls for buttons and made a tiny black bow tie.
On the inside I stamped the verse and found a little cutout that had a little teal sparkle to it.

Grandma

For this challenge, I chose to make a baby card for my friend who just became a Grandmother for the very first time.
I started with white cardstock, layered a dark pink paper, then a light figured paper. Stamped the verse on a light pink and put it on a pink flowered paper. I took a scrap of darker pink for the strip across the bottom and added a little bling. I looked into my stash and found a few other little cute things to add.

Ship

For this challenge I made a card for the guys. I started with navy cardstock just a tad smaller than the envelope. I then chose a paper that was kind of a nautical theme. Positioned that paper so it would open in the center. On a light blue paper I stamped a ship and my sentiment. I layered it on the same pieces navy paper.  I glued that on only the left side flap.

Fairies

For this special 300th challenge I chose to do a fun card. I found a fairy  digital image and colored  her with my sparkly gel markers. I have had this sentiment for a while and was not sure how I would put it all together. I found some gold glitter cardstock and layered a teal background for the little fairy.  I outlined the verse in a dark purple. It does not show up great in the picture, but I lightly sprayed glitter on the verse just before I put it on the card. I used a little foam tape to pop the verse off the card . Then found a string of teal bling to finish the card off.

White

This challenge was easy for me as I love white with black. It is always clean and crisp and always looks dressy and very elegant.
I started with white cardstock, layered a black paper leaving a thin edge, then layering a figured, textured white cardstock on the black.
I cut a heart out of solid black paper and a smaller heart out of white embossed paper. I then cut another heart of solid black, then cut a V out of solid white to create a tux. I used white pearls and black diamond shaped bling for buttons. Tied a tiny black ribbon for the bow tie. Added the ribbon along the bottom to dress it up a bit.

Americana

for this Challenge I chose a brown cardstock. I cut 3 strips of equal sizes of red, white and blue paper. I punched a small stars in the bottom of each and saved the stars. I spaced the strips evenly apart on the card and glued them down. I glued a glittery America across the top and glued the punched out stars on the opposite colors of paper. I stamped Thank You on a white textured paper. I found 2 blue stars and some red and white striped string and positioned them on the bottom.

Red white and blue

Red white and blue is always so sharp! I started with a white cardstock and cut a red diagonal then layered an embossed white price on top. I cut the stars out of a figured paper and layered on some glittery stars, and added the glittery America in the top left corner. I then found in my stash some red sticky stripes, so angled them to match the red and white. I stamped in the center and added the blue star in the corner.

Topped it off with a simple pearl in the center.
I then used a new stamp on white textured paper and layered it on the coral textured paper. Used foam tape to lift it off the card a bit.

Ladybug

This was a fun challenge! I started with a
White cardstock. I ran a strip of red cardstock thru my Swiss dot embossing folder on the cuddle bug and then cut the one edge with the scallop scissors.
I cut a thin strip of black as an accent.
For the lady bug I punched a medium sized circle of red and cut it in half. I used a pencil eraser and black ink to create the spots. I then punched a medium circle of black. I positioned the black on the white card then made the ladybug wings over that.
I punched a small
Black circle and used it for the head and used 2 tiny black beads for the antenna and used a black marker to join to the head. Then stamped happy birthday on the card.

Favorite diecut

I really like this flower diecut. It can be used as a single stem as I have used here, or make several and use as a bokay.  I started with a cream cardstock, layered on a burnt orange. Then layered a light tan that I ran half of it thru my cuddbug. I used my small square scallop punch, cut some in a cream color. I also diecut my flowers out of the light cream and then used my Tombow markers to color the flower to match the rest of the card. I added a little dragonfly and used my Just Because stamp.

blue Christmas

For this challenge I chose to make a card with a dual purpose. It is a Christmas card and gift card or money holder at the same time. I started with white cardstock, punched out a snowflake in the front and put a scrap of light blue behind that. Then out of my Christmas/winter stash, I found a blue to match. Cut a square just a little bigger than a gift card and rounded the corners. I used a thin white string and stitched around the outer edge. I then glued the very outside of 3 sides, leaving the top open to stick money or a gift card inside. I used my large snowflake punch and cut out a black one for a bit of contrast. Then used a Christmas stamp and scrap of darker blue paper.

Wedding

For this challenge I made one of my favorite wedding cards.
I chose a black cardstock and folded it so there were 2 front flaps and the back. In the back center I chose a cream base and used one of my favorite stamps for newlyweds. I then went on to creating my pattern for the dress. It took me a minute to get it just right, but then cut it out of a shiny, embossed cream color and added it to half of the left front flap.  I used a scrap of cream paper to make the tux shirt on the right flap. Used 2 more little scraps of black for the tux lapels. I added some ribbon and pearls to the dress, and buttons and a black ribbon bow tie to the shirt.

Hydrangea watercoloring

For this challenge I chose a stamp that my sister shared with me when she was teaching me the water color technique. I started with a cream base, layered on a lt grey textured piece and after stamping the flowers with embossing ink and letting the dry, I started coloring with my Tombow markers and a splash of water. I love how it pops off of the page. I chose to do a sympathy verse on cream paper using my large scallop punch. I went around the scallop edge very lightly with my black ink pad to give it a bit more character. I lifted it off the card with a little foam tape.

It Seems as though I always need a Sympathy card...I found this verse over the weekend, so was the perfect time to use it. I like what the verse says, and yellow seem to make it not so drab and dreary.
I started with white cardstock, layered the yellow on that. I used my cuddle bug machine to emboss the Swiss dots. I found the lace in my stash and it seem to make it pretty. I layered my sentiment on white and yellow...simply stated.
On the inside, I printed the verse on white cardstock then layered it on yellow and back on white then onto the yellow card. Finished it off with a little puff sticker for the corner.
