Blue mountain

This challenge was fun to me. Watercoloring  is something that I have just recently started to play around with.   My image is stamped in black versa ink and then I used embossing powder and my heat gun, to make it raised and I did this on watercolor paper. After the embossing dried then I started in with my watercolor and I think it turned out fine ....sometimes I have problems with using  too much water and then everything bleeds all over so I have to be very cautious there. I chose to put my watercolor design on a Woodland in Boston brown paper with a simple sentiment so it could be used for any occasion. My husband decided he really liked it and had a friend who has recently had hip surgery, so the card is going out in the mail today! :😎

Floral,wagon sketch

This challenge started with a green paper that is full of glitter. It's very hard to tell in the picture unless you really enlarge it.. the top 1/3 of the paper is a coral and the black strip is a thin ribbon. I used one of my favorite Northwood stamps in my markers and colored the flowers in various colors, and placed it on top. I added a button to finish it off.  All of the challenge colors are in the photo.

Baby blankets

Crocheting  is something that I have done for years and years. Both of my grandmas crocheted and they both taught me different techniques and it is something that I will hold dear to my heart forever. These two are actually ones that I have done for my grand children. I recently finished the zigzag pattern one for my newest grandson and I made it a little larger so that he He can grow into it and use it later as a throw. The top one Im currently making for my granddaughter as a keepsake.    I have always loved to crochet most times once you get started it goes very fast and it's mindless work unless you're working on a very delicate pattern. Most of the time I choose something that I can just go and I don't have to count a lot of stitches or do a lot of changing of the colors of yarn. I find it very relaxing.

Paint splatter

Fun 1layer challenge!! I used my paint splatter stamps in random bright colors and a little boynstamp. I used colored pencils and markers on the image.  Cute little boy card.

For this challenge, I used  one of the newest bugaboo stamps that I recently won. The sentiment is pretty much self-explanatory and probably is what 80% of people say every morning , 😘😘
I used two different colors of purple paper for the base, one figured ,one plain and used a strip of  purple and white checked across the middle.... then put the image on purple and white polka dotted and put a little purple star button on the side.

Teal cross

I am really pleased with the way this card turned out! I wasn't sure when I started exactly what I was going to do. I used 2 different embossing folders and I fussy cut around the cross. I wanted to keep it very simple, So that I could use it for a multitude of occasions... I think it would be very appropriate for a baby card, a sympathy card, an inspirational card, a wedding card, baptismal or  confirmation card.

Wooden car

This time I combined a couple of challenges because they were so close when I finished the card.
The first one about wood. The second is about chalkboard.
I layered it all on white. And stamped in white. I colored my stamp image with colored pencils.

Wooden boat

Please challenge all about would I struggle to do something just a little bit different. I finally found one of my stamps that has a wooden boat with a wooden dock and trees which are obviously wood in the background. I can use my colored pencils to make a softer effect I layered it on a couple different colors of blue paper and then brown all on white card stock.

Cardinal basket

My sister recently visited and had some projects  for me, and this was one of them. We used a 12x 12 sheet of heavy cardstock. I chose red cardinals. Very pleased with how it turned out. If  I chose to put something in it to give it as a gift,  I would want to put a cloth or napkin in the bottom being careful not carry it by the handles. It would be cute for home made goodies or small soaps and lotions....or whatever your heart desires! 😊

Pink flower

For this challenge I started on cream card stock, I layered on a multi colored green in mauve and  pink paper. I folded over the top right corner and used a paper punch to punch through two holes on all four layers and pulled up a peachy pink ribbon and created a bow on the front. I stamped happy birthday in the top left corner I added a pink flower with a Pinky peach done in the center and popped it up with a little bit of foam off the paper.   I love accenting things with tiny ribbon. It just makes it look JT and it adds a little something to the cards. They also Lay very flat for sending.

For this challenge I started on cream textured card stock, used my paintbrush and tried to make a moonlit skyline.  I took a circle and laid it down on the paper and water colored all the way around it in orange teal purple yellow, then I lifted the circle and blended it in just a little bit so that it looks like the moon is coming up over the beach. I stamped my truck in black and then I put some random weeds in avocado green and brown to make it look more beachy.

For this challenge it's all about the words. I embossed on white paper, my love folder which reads 'love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud'  ...1 Corinthians 4:13.  on top of that I embossed  my love stamp and  highlighted it with my medium blue ink pad.   I really love using my embossing machine but so many times I forget to drag it out! Copper tree

I'm guess I'm not really sure why but it seems like this time of year I go through a lot of sympathy cards. So this is actually one that I did for a friend who lost his wife. Sometimes I struggle on what kind of a card to make for a man, but I think this tree works out nicely. I did it within the challenge colors and I layered it on brown and then a coppery , peachy, gray figured paper wrapped it in a peach and white ribbon.  Then on cream colored paper I stamped my tree in a copper brown and then added three copper studs along the side.  This card features two of the things that I like to use most out of my favorites – pile is the string and the studs. with the paper choices in the stamp choice it's a rather vintage card to me as well.

I love you

happy Valentine's Day to everyone!
This challenge I did something just a little bit different. I used white black zigzag red and pink card stock I took a scrap a black and a scrap of white and stamped I love you on it and paired those two together and then down in the bottom right corner I had a piece of corrugated paper . I cut a heart out of it,   Put a stud in the middle and a little piece of store string towards the bottom and I laid it on a piece of musicals grab paper that I had and layer that on a solid red. And then pop that all up with a piece of foam tape.

Sweet cupcakes

For this challenge I started on white card stock and I added a zigzag red and pink figured paper. I cut out 2 Brown hearts that were exactly the same size in a tan 1 that was just a little bit bigger. I had a sticker with a cupcake on It and added a little bit of store string and then another little sticker that has x's ans o's on it.

Double ❤️❤️ Love

This Valentine card actually is a two-part card in conjunction with the other card on my blog called 2 heart gems. How this all started was I took my pattern on the white paper and  using my X-Acto knife I cut out the two nontraditional heart shapes and use them to make the first card leaving this silhouette . I decided to try my hand at making a card out of the leftover scrap. I layered it on top of an orange-ish red patterned paper I use my Leisy scallop punch on the bottom and then layered everything on top of the brown paper card stock keeping at CAS I stamped love in the top right corner and out of the little red and white string in between hearts.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone and thank you for stopping by to check out my blog!

2 heart gems

.
For this weeks challenge all about love, love is in the air, valentines etc. I chose to do a little bit different card for me. I started with brown card stock. I cut out 2 nontraditional heart shapes  from white colored card stock that are  actually the cut outs from another card that I did in a similar Fashion, just opposite and then went over them lightly with my brown ink pad to put just a little bit of a rustic touch on it. I stamped in light brown and then went over the stamping area with my glitter gel pen. I took my dark brown fine tip marker and created the stitching affect around both parts. I stamp happy Valentine's Day in brown ink on tan card stock . I had a red and pink floral card stock that I thought would be a pretty background and I took one of my edging punches and made a lacy  effect at the bottom and then put gemstones in between each center.

Triple pink hearts💕💕💕

This week especially as well as the whole month of February really is all about love, the colors pink red white really stand out. For this particular challenge I started with  White card stock and then a paper that looks like stamps on them. I took a white paper and one of my lacy edging machines and went into the paper just a little bit and made the diecut not just on the edge. I really love The way this came out all Lacey looking ...it just adds a little extra fancy to the card. I took a strip of dark pink paper acrossThe top of my fancy cutting and above that I cut three hearts  2 out of random  valentine paper and one in plain black to which I added three clear gemstones and with my Stickles paint I added a set of ruby red lips and a little extra on the heart .

Pink and black flower

For this particular card I chose to start with white card stock and layered on a plain black then I chose my flower diecut in pink and  Aqua, I stamped my sentiment on white and layered it on pink and then added the three pink gemstones. After looking at it again I decided it needed just a little something extra special so I added the ribbon which is a little bit lacy and see-through.  I really appreciate working with ribbon of all sizes because it makes such nice Bose and just the added special touch for cards  Without being too bulky. It's a little bit hard to read from this size what the sentiment is. " It reads what appears to be the end is usually the start of a new beginning." Which is true of most flowers something has to die  before something new will grow.
