Butterflies in green

For this challenge, decided to get out my embossing machine and use up,a few scraps of paper to do some spring cleaning😊🌺🌺

I used a tree folder to create the background, on a pice of green textured paper,  then I strung a piece of green string thru the card and my punched out design that I had previously stamped, to create a swing. I added the butterflies where I strung the string holes thru.

Polka dots

For this special,400 th challenge, I chose to make a card from the throwback of Challenge 303.

I chose a white and tan polkadotted cardstock. I cut it lengthways and then folded it into thirds.
I found another darker polkadotted paper to make the flap. I chose a cupcake out of felt that had stripes throughout. I  glued it onto the top of the flap. I added the tag at the top.

Mom

With Mothers Day fast approaching, I've been working on starting my Mothers Day cards.
I kept this one very CAS. I used 2 different sized punches. The smalller one I used on a pre printed cardstock, the second on a bit darker paper. I added a pink heart stud and layered it on olive paper, then on white cardstock.

Poseys

I started on white cardstock, layered on a pink flowery paper. I used my flower diecut
And took the outer layer for this challenge to create a little depth. I had not used my diecuts in awhile, so was fun playing around a bit again. I used the same flower paper to create a base for mynstamped sentiment and added a couple of gems to finish it off.

Thinking of you

For this thinking of you challenge I did a multilayer fold card I started with a 3.5 x 8inch  piece of  Cream color card stock and making the fold on the left side so that it ends up to be 3.5 x 5 to fit in an envelope.   I layered on a solid color coral paper  On just the flat bottom piece of paper, then layered a multi colored paper. Then I cutt another piece of  card stock a little bit slimmer than the multi colored paper only twice as long so that I could fold it over and that essentially  it serves as the very inside of the card which ice stamped a sentiment and also  the front of the card. I layered on another piece of coral paper and my stickers in my sentiment . Back on the left side flap I layered a multi colored piece of paper and then a woodgrained more solid piece of paper and stamped my sentiment on that side.  I'm sure my directions are clear as mud that's why I included all three pictures so you could kind of see how I put it all together.

CAS B for baby

I used my pink and blue ink pads and a roller that had a baby design on it. I rolled it on in alternating colors on a full, sheet of white cardstock. Then I cut my card size, folded it in half and stamped for baby in black. Can be for a boy or girl.

B is for...Spring time bunny

I stamped and heat embossed the bunny in black on light purple paper. I used my gel pens to add a bit of color. I really like using these as they are quick and easy and always make things 'pop'  and sparkle on the card.   I Then layered it on a couple other figured papers and then on tan, and added the ribbon.

Wishes from seaside

I recently won this image on bugaboo stamps....he's pretty cute😊
I used regular colored pencils to color this image in. I quite frequently, when I can't make up my mind to do something different or just want to do ...... will grab my colored pencils. They seem to be my favorite go to....after I am done I sometimes take a tiny paintbrush and a dab of water and smooth it over the colored pencils to make it an even softer looking image and blend everything together.  I layered  this image on a dark blue paper that I had embossed in a bubble pattern, layered it on white card stock and use my black ink marker to distress the edges of the card.

For this anything goes challenge I made a popcorn sleeve. I took my bag of popcorn and cut a piece of heavy card stock the same with and wrapped it around and used a little bit of tacky glue on the edges. And I took a smaller contrasting pieces and did the same thing. Then I use my diecut machine to cut out the designs and put them together on the sleeve. This could be used for any occasion.

I have several brands of stamps. I buy them from various outlets. For this particular card, I used stamplorations. They have such a great variety and can be purchased at several craft stores.
I stamped the flower in several different springtime colors on white paper, wrapped an orange string around it and put it on orange paper.

Birthday

For this challenge I used one of the stamps that I had recently purchased which was an old truck. I have always been fascinated by old trucks and this one really has a lot of possibilities. For this challenge I started on cream colored card stock I dirtied the paper just a little bit to look like sand with my brown ink pad and then I took my orange yellow purple and lime green To make the skyline. I took my weeds stamp and used brown and olive green and I stamped the truck and the happy birthday in black. for this challenge I left the truck with no color.

Pheasant

For this challenge about birds/wings I decided to do a pheasant. Seems I'm always needing more male cards.  I stamped  the pheasant in black on white paper and used my colored pencils to color it, then I fussy cut around it. Also on white paper In black ink, I stamped  three Evergreen branches and then used my light green ink pad to go over the whole image then layered that brown figured paper. I used my cuddlebug and a woodgrain folder on light tan paper, layered that on navy blue paper, adding 3 black button studs to finish this off.

Wings and things

For this wings and birds Challenge, I chose to do a birdhouse pattern. All of my paper is pre-printed except for the original card stock that I layered it on top of and then I used a plain gold paper for my banner and stamped on top of that and put my little star to the left corner to finish out the challenge.

Birthday bus

Favorite stamps you say????    Omygosh! Where do I begin??   I have bins and boxes and more bins FULL!  I think my husband is beginning to think I am a hoarder!!😱😱😱
But to narrow it down a bit, I love Northwoods stamps as they have a large variety of stamps, but I am drawn to the outdoor scenes.
For this challenge I started with  a stamp from the Deep woods collection. Which I like for 2 reasons. I tend to gravitate to my rubber stamps before my digitals because I'm more familiar with them and I like vintage cars!😊 I used a cream colored card stock and a somewhat manly checked print as I am using this card for one of my male friends. Then I found a solid colored paper and a paper full of stripes to layer my white  stamped bus on I use my colored pencils to color the bus and I used three studs on the solid blue I used a black ink for the happy birthday on the cream colored card stock that I layered on top of a navy colored paper.

Farmer teddy bear

This challenge has a double purpose for me💛💛
The challenge was for a Children's card. I was needing a birthday card for my grandson's third birthday. I found this cute little digital design from Di's Digi's in my stash and I colored him with regular colored pencils. I layered it on a green pumpkin design that kind of look like a pumpkin patch, then I layered it on top of my embossed numbers design in orange. I thought it needed a little bit more sprucing up so I took some glue and glitter and outlined the number three that was popped up off of the embossed paper and then I added the little happy birthday design ....all layered on brown card stock paper. Of course the tractor HAD to be green😊😊

Thinking of you

I have not been a card maker for very long but I am always intrigued by something a little bit different. I found this style of card on Pinterest about a year ago and overtime I have made several variations of it. I like this particular style, and even though it uses several layers of paper, it starts with basically just 2 folds.  I usually start with the size that I am wanting to end up with and then add a couple inches onto that and fold that part over to the front. Then I take a little smaller piece and fold it in half. You can tell by the picture how I have layered the paper all together. I usually start with a solid color piece on the bottom of my folded card stock and then just layer from there,  mixing and matching papers.   For this particular card I used a textured pattern paper, a flower pattern and a random pattern paper and made it quite flowery as I am planning on giving it to my mom.....just because.

Black and white red carpet

When I saw the red carpet challenge. I was at a loss for a bit...then I remembered seeing this card in one of my picture books.....perfect! I cut the dress freehand, made little pieces adding a bow tie to create the tux
. Added a couple of sequence around the neck and tiny button studs for shirt buttons. A white bow around the waist, layered it on red paper and it was complete!  And a lot of fun to do. I think it will make a great wedding card later this summer as well😍

I started with brown  cardstock. Layered on a light pink and used my plum diecut scrap to create a frame and stamped my sentiment in the center.  I think it turned out nicely. I will do this again and me sure to me mindful when staring the diecut process to be sure and have enuf left for a frame.
