new year poinsettia


Happy new year everyone! Welcome to 2017 ... a new year of crafting, making cards, having fun and joining new challenges!
For the starting of the new year I recently received this beautiful poinsettia stamp and decided to use it for my first challenges of the new year.  For this challenge I chose an aqua blue paper layered on a square of dark purple patterned paper. I used my new stamp on white paper and then fussy cut around the pattern,  used my markers and a light pink outlined in fuchsia and over top of that used my iridescent clear gel pen and then used a dark lime green and a darker green to do the pine Needles and went over that with my gel pen as well. I stamped in black and I finished it off with three bright aqua pearls up in the top right corner. I think it is very feminine looking and yet I believe that it can still be used this winter for an any occasion card.
