Thinking of you

I have not been a card maker for very long but I am always intrigued by something a little bit different. I found this style of card on Pinterest about a year ago and overtime I have made several variations of it. I like this particular style, and even though it uses several layers of paper, it starts with basically just 2 folds.  I usually start with the size that I am wanting to end up with and then add a couple inches onto that and fold that part over to the front. Then I take a little smaller piece and fold it in half. You can tell by the picture how I have layered the paper all together. I usually start with a solid color piece on the bottom of my folded card stock and then just layer from there,  mixing and matching papers.   For this particular card I used a textured pattern paper, a flower pattern and a random pattern paper and made it quite flowery as I am planning on giving it to my mom.....just because.
